I'm trying to be organized with creating categories, boards and sub-boards.
Category, board and sub-board ID's are numbers. All numbers count up from one depending on availability. Please try to catch my drift.
Making Categories
The first number is the category. If you are making a new category, please use the next available number.
Black City General is 1
Wireless Forums is 2
Creative Corner is 3
Pokemon Forums is 4
General Conversation is 5
This means that the next category made will have the ID of 6.
Making Boards
If you make a board in a category, the ID number will first be the number of the category. The first board I made in Black City General will be 11, which means it's the first board of the first category. Likewise with the Wireless Forums, 21.
The second board made will be #2, third #3, and so on (where # = the ID of the category it was made in).
Making Sub-Boards
Sub-boards take their ID from both the category and board they're in. If I make a sub-board in the first board of Black City General, the ID will be 111. If one is made in the second board of Creative Corner, the ID will be 321.
Basically
When making anything, if it applies, use this structure:
Category ID Board ID Sub-Board ID
If you haven't done this
Make an identical board with the correct ID and move the threads from the old board to the new then delete the old.
Sorry if all this is a bit much, I'd like to be organized and I'd hate if the board ID's were all different and don't make sense.
The ID's show up at the end of the URL and look like this:
black-city.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=12 (second board of the first category)
black-city.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=121 (first sub-board of the second board of the first category)
black-city.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=122 (second sub-board of the second category)
and so on.
